Three useful tools are RawDigger, RawPhotoProcessor and RawTherapee - IRC two of the three are free.īBEDIT is a very good editor, not free. XNView MP is a free DAM tool that runs on MacOS and Linux (and Windows). If yu keep ScriptDebugger past the trial end date, it degrades to a still fairly useful free tool. Its not free, but an excellent tool for writing and debugging AppleScript is "ScriptDebugger". There is a free GUI for exiftool called jEXIFToolGUI. GNU C compiler is on my system, but perhaps not all libraries are available.

Does anybody have advice on best approaches? Today I found and installed exiftool so I'm wondering about other open source photography software, such as GIMP and Darktable. After using my employer's Macbook since quarantine began, I like Mac OS too, and recently purchased DxO PhotoLab, which is great (does not run on Linux).
